Ready to build, or expand, your business? The Building for Business Program is for people, or organizations, interested in acquiring commercial or industrial property through the Summit County Land Bank.

Submitting an application for the Building for Business Program will notify the Summit County Land Bank of your interest in acquiring property, but does not guarantee the Summit County Land Bank will approve the application, acquire any property, or sell any property to the applicant.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office. Submission of an application will serve as an acknowledgement and understanding of this notice.


How to Submit an Application

  1. Complete the program application

  2. Submit the program application, along with the required application fee along with any additional required documents

Application materials can be submitted electronically, via email, to Tiffany Shelton-Moss at tmoss@summitlandbank.org, or can be delivered or mailed to the Summit County Land Bank at 400 South Portage Path, Akron, Ohio 44320.  Application materials submitted electronically will not be considered until the application fee has been received.  If delivering an application in person, staff may not be available to answer questions without an appointment. 

For properties already owned by the Summit County Land Bank, an Interest & Offer form must accompany the application materials, in order to be considered.  To make an appointment, please contact our team!
